Nothing was told to the student corps while they were serving as nurses in the battlefield, because the Japanese government and military was secretive. Graduation ceremony was held inside a bomb shelter so none of the parents attended. She could never forget about her school mate, Secchan, because she was the only one she witnessed the moment of her passing. She doesn't know how and where in the field the rest of her friends were killed. 555 high school girls were drafted to become nurses. 194 of them died.
